1. What is a cookie?
Cookies are strings of information that may be stored on the User's device when they connect to the Site. The device retains cookies for a certain period and sends them back to the web server each time the User reconnects to the Site — for example, so that the Site remembers the User's preferred language.
There are different types of cookies:
· Session cookies, which are deleted as soon as the User leaves the website they are visiting;
· Permanent or persistent cookies, which remain on the User's device until they expire or until the User deletes them;
· First-party cookies, which are installed by the website the User is currently browsing;
· Third-party cookies, installed by a domain other than that of the website the User is currently browsing.
Some cookies are "technical" cookies, installed solely to facilitate electronic communication or strictly necessary for the provision of the online service. They are automatically placed on the User's device when they browse the Site and cannot be disabled. Non-strictly necessary audience measurement cookies and social media cookies are placed on the User's device only if they have consented by clicking "accept". The processing of data collected from these cookies is therefore based on the User's consent, which may be withdrawn at any time.
2. Why do we use cookies?
Where applicable, and with the User's consent, DIFFLY places cookies on their device for the purposes of:
· Enabling Users to navigate the Site;
· Ensuring and improving the functioning and security of the Site;
· Carrying out statistical calculations;
· Analysing traffic and usage of the Site;
· Allowing the User to share content on social media.
If the User consents, third parties may also place cookies on their device. DIFFLY has no information or control over the use and processing of personal data by these third parties. Their list is indicated in the consent management tool. Social media sharing cookies may also be placed. If the User uses the sharing buttons, they may consult the privacy policies of each social network.

4. How can the User manage cookie settings?
Upon their first visit to the Site, the User is informed via a consent management tool of the cookies being placed on their device. The User has the option to accept or refuse all cookies subject to their consent.
As long as the User has not accepted the placing of cookies, no cookies other than strictly technical ones will be placed on their device.
A consent management tool, accessible from the Site's homepage, allows Users to configure their cookie preferences at any time.
